Abstract

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is the longest conflict in the post-Soviet space. In 1988, ethnic Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh illegally demanded the transfer of the territory of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region (NKAO) from Azerbaijan to Armenia.
