PROCEDURE OF A DISTILLATION COLUMN ANALYSIS FOR CONTROL SYSTEM DESIGN

Abstract

It’s well known that there is no “best” control system structure or controller tuning method for all distillation columns, working in known processes. Distillation column (DC) dynamics is determined by column design, feed and product specification, process disturbances. Each case of DC control system design, especially for complex columns, can be solved in many different ways. The quality of the resulting control system will depend largely on what information about the control object was taken into account by the developer.
