Abstract

The functions of religion as an institution that unites large groups of people on the basis of common religious ideas and worldview positions are based on a person's ability to believe. Religious faith is a type of faith in general. The basic feature of religion is faith as a spiritual and philosophical category. The main sources of faith in human life are natural instincts. It is impossible to unite people in religious communities if there was no psychological ability to believe [1].
