Both the International Military Tribunal (the Nuremberg Tribunal) and the International Military Tribunal for the Far East (the Tokyo Trial) (hereinafter referred to as the Tribunal) were incredible achievements for the international law, especially in terms of establishing guilt and bringing to justice war criminals of the World War II. Due to the importance of the object of their activity and the conclusions that were made, both of the tribunals had a comprehensive influence on the formation of the modern legal framework in the field of bringing to justice those responsible for committing crimes of aggression (crimes against peace), war crimes and crimes against humanity, and still being researched by the scholars.
