Abstract

Стаття присвячена питанню акцентизму як однієї з форм лінгвістичної дискримінації. Наведені приклади з періодичних британських видань  ілюструють упереджене ставлення до регіональних акцентів англійської мови. Автор концентрує увагу на відсутності законодавства, яке б захищало від дискримінації за акцентом. Було зроблено висновок, що в багатокультурній і багатомовній Британії рішенням є розумне пристосування.
