Abstract

Relevance. Desensitization protocols are crucial in reducing the risk of allergic reactions during surgical procedures. Early onset desensitization, which involves initiating the desensitization process well before the planned procedure, has been shown to be effective in building up tolerance to the allergen. The use of premedication before surgery may further improve the safety and efficacy of desensitization.
