Conducting an adequate assessment of the course of the processes of social and professional adaptation of the personality of young women and young men who acquire a certain specialty in the conditions of study at a higher education institution, including during the acquisition of medical specialties, is impossible without taking into account the properties of character, each of which determines and forms the prerequisites for the implementation of specific actions and the implementation of specific deeds [1, 2]. The time of obtaining higher education is crucial both from the standpoint of ensuring a high level of adequacy of the processes of professional formation of the individual to his abilities, predispositions and inclinations, and from the standpoint of preventing the influence of numerous risk factors that contribute to the inhibition and distortion of the processes of development of psychophysiological functions and personality traits, and cause the formation of personal professional deformations [2, 3].
